We are seeking a diligent Site Procurement Specialist to handle the daily procurement of fresh food ingredients, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost‑effectiveness for our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase fresh vegetables, fruits, and other perishable ingredients on a daily basis.
- Negotiate prices, compare offers, and secure the best value while meeting company quality standards.
- Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and guarantee timely fulfillment of requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation: purchase orders (PO), data entry, invoices, and daily reports.
- Ensure proper storage, packing, and handling of fresh goods according to established standards.
- Develop and leverage a network of traditional and modern market suppliers.
- Conduct market visits early mornings; travel to suppliers or markets using a personal vehicle (SIM C).
- Work efficiently under pressure, demonstrating attention to detail and honesty in fund utilization.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- 2 + years of experience as a purchaser of food raw materials, specifically fresh vegetables, fruits, and other perishable items.
- Strong knowledge of vegetable and fruit quality standards (freshness, size, grade, shelf‑life).
- Established relationships with vendors in traditional and modern markets (preferred).
- Proven ability to negotiate, evaluate offers, and achieve optimal pricing.
- Understanding of storage, packaging, and handling procedures for fresh produce.
- Experience with procurement administration: PO creation, data entry, invoicing, and reporting.
- High level of accuracy, quick decision‑making, and ability to work in urgent situations.
- Integrity and responsibility in managing procurement funds.
- Own motor vehicle with a valid SIM C and willingness to travel to suppliers/markets.
- Flexible to work early mornings for market purchases.
Work Schedule
- Days: Monday – Saturday
- Hours: 10:00 – 06:00
